The Mission to Seafarers

The Mission to Seafarers is a global charity which started in the Bristol Channel over 150 years ago. We now have a presence in over 200 ports around the world and our aim is to serve seafarers when their ships come to port. We take direction from Jesus in Matthew 25:35 - "I was a stranger and you welcomed me" - and it is a real honour to do this. The seafarers are so grateful for a warm welcome; whether it is ship visiting, driving them to the Seafarers Centre for a couple of hours or to St Mary's for 20 minutes to walk around the stadium or helping them contact their families at home.
