YouthFest 2026
YouthFest would not have been possible without the commitment of over 50 volunteers who gave their time to serve in countless ways—from catering and logistics to worship, teaching, pastoral care, and activities. Their willingness to serve made the weekend possible, and we are deeply grateful for every person who played a part.
As we look ahead, we are excited to continue building on the relationships formed and to keep working together as churches to reach and disciple the young people of our city.
As Paul writes in Ephesians 4:3–6: "Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit... one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."
YouthFest 2026 was an incredible weekend that brought together over 170 young people from 12 churches from across Southampton. Our vision has always been to see young people reached with the gospel and to provide a residential for those young people and churches that wouldn't be able to facilitate this on their own.
The theme for the weekend was One Church, focusing on the importance of looking beyond our own church setting and realising that, though we may do things differently, we are all one Church. Over the weekend we had four main sessions where we unpacked our theme by looking at One Body, One Foundation, One Spirit, and One Mission.

Throughout the weekend, young people engaged in passionate worship, biblical teaching, games, activities, and opportunities to build lasting friendships with other Christians from across the city. It was encouraging to see churches working together with a shared heart to invest in the next generation.
The greatest encouragement came from seeing God at work. Many young people responded to the messages, took new steps in their faith, and experienced a deeper relationship with Jesus.

Southampton City Mission Conference God's Story - 21st March 2026
Southampton City Mission’s God’s Story Conference brought together around 130 people from churches across the city for a vibrant and encouraging day of worship, teaching, and connection at Highfield Church.
The day began with a warm welcome from CEO Duncan House, followed by an inspiring opening from Rhiannon, Bishop of Southampton, who encouraged us to be carriers of hope in our city. Worship, led by Lighthouse International Church, created a strong sense of unity and God’s presence.
Guest speaker Sam Ward (The Message Trust) shared powerful insights on the “quiet revival,” urging us to be confident in the Gospel, visible in our communities, and committed to discipleship. Later, he challenged us to embrace “incarnational living,” stepping into the realities of everyday life to share God’s love. Attendees engaged in discussion groups, heard local stories of God at work from Theo Amer and others, and took part in prayer walks across the area.
The day concluded with a time of commissioning, encouraging everyone to join in what God is already doing in Southampton. A truly inspiring day—thank you to all who came and contributed. We look forward to next year!

‘Turn the Battle’ was a national prayer and fasting initiative bringing churches together to pray for our nation, with 3 days of prayer and fasting on 21-23 January 2026.
OneBody Southampton, together with many church leaders across the city, supported this initiative and hundreds of believers met together to pray over the three days.
Many people from across the city to the opportunity to pray and fact and a number of joint events were held to enable people to come together to pray
Those events started on Wednesday with a fresh commitment to PRAYER, appropriately beginning at 06:30 at Ascension Church in Bitterne. In the evening many gathered together for prayer and worship at St Marys Church in the centre of the city.

OneBody Launch event - 19th November 2025
The OneBody Southampton launch event gathered together Christian leaders from across Southampton, representing 44 churches in the city and 15 charities and projects working in Southampton, 98 people in total during the day. It was hosted by St James in the Park in Shirley and included talks about the vision and activities of OneBody Southampton along with opportunities for discussion and networking between the leaders attending.
Temi opened the day in prayer before we went into a time of worship led by Nathan and Mikey. The worship included a specially written verse for "Be Still for the Spirit of the Lord"; recognising God's heart for unity amongst his people.
Dan then introduced OneBody Southampton, explaining the vision and history. His key message was that if our heart is to reach this City then each of us needs each other to achieve that: "I need you and we need us":

The morning session then moved into some quick fire updates on the activities that OneBody Southampton had been working on so far, including the Prayer Walking App (Duncan), Communication, Website & Mapping (Andrew), The Leaders Collective (Nathan), plans for "Christians in spheres" events (Dan), the Turn The Battle prayer initiative (Christine) and the new OneBody video release - on the home page (James).
Next was an opportunity for the leaders attending to give feedback on what they saw as most helpful amongst these initial activities before we then split into geographical groupings to consider how we could work better together in our local areas.
After a great networking lunch, kindly organised by Alice and a team of helpers from St James, we were then treated to an inspiring talk by the Anglican Bishop of Southampton, Rhiannon King. Bishop Rhiannon talked about her previous experience in Ipswich of working across the 88 churches in the city and offered great encouragement to the leaders in Southampton of the fruit that they had seen from that work. Bishop Rhiannon stressed that it was her great desire to see this initiative thrive across all denominations in the city and made the offer to hear from any of those there how she could contribute further to that. (Handout)
The day finished off with an opportunity to pray together for the city and the future of OneBody Southampton. Together we prayed a Jubilee Declaration for Southampton: A Jubilee Declaration for Southampton.pdf
