The Mission to Seafarers
The Mission to Seafarers is a global charity which started in the Bristol Channel over 150 years ago. We now have a presence in over 200 ports around the world and our aim is to serve seafarers when their ships come to port. We take direction from Jesus in Matthew 25:35 - "I was a stranger and you welcomed me" - and it is a real honour to do this. The seafarers are so grateful for a warm welcome; whether it is ship visiting, driving them to the Seafarers Centre for a couple of hours or to St Mary's for 20 minutes to walk around the stadium or helping them contact their families at home.

Cross Connecting
With the vast majority of children and young people having no access to church, the need to reach them where they are at is paramount, i.e. in schools. Cross Connecting is all about connecting all those who want to be involved in some way in sharing and living out Christ in schools. Cross Connecting is a start-up online platform that allows Christians from different churches to identify each other based on which school they’re linked with. It is currently piloting in Southampton, but will soon be ready for nationwide impact.

Safe Families and Home for Good
At Safe Families and Home for Good, we have a vision rooted in hospitality, justice, belonging and collaboration. Together, we hope for a society where no family feels alone, and every child has a home where they can flourish. We believe the Church is central to this vision. Through our family support programme, we connect volunteers from local churches and communities with families who are isolated and overwhelmed. These volunteers offer friendship, practical help, and a listening ear – building relationships that restore dignity, reduce pressure, and help families stay together. It’s grassroots, relational, deeply personal and all about creating communities of true welcome and belonging.

Amber Chaplains
A part-time chaplaincy and outreach service offering non-judgemental care, hope, and practical support for women involved in selling sex on the streets of Southampton. The women we walk alongside are some of the most marginalised and vulnerable in our city, and face complex challenges, including violence, exploitation, addiction, unstable housing, food poverty, and poor physical and mental health. We believe these women are deeply loved and valued by God and deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. This has been our motivation and driving force since the project began 30 years ago.
